Q: How does it work?
A: The Silent Pocket® is a strong shield between your mobile device and radio frequency signals that are emitted and received by your device. Once inside your device is completely sealed and acts as a faraday cage not letting the transfer of signals in or out.
Q: What else can I use a Silent Pocket® for?
A: To protect your identity by blocking RFID chipped passports, credit cards, smart keys, ID's, security badges, etc.
Q: What is the difference between the Silent Pocket® airplane mode?
A: Airplane mode is fine in certain situations, but is software and hardware dependent. Using a SilentPocket you are guaranteed to block all signal communication and connectivity.
Q: Will it damage my phone or affect my service?
A: No. The Silent Pocket® does not damage a phone or mobile device. Service is interrupted in a passive way and resumed when the phone is taken out of the case, just as it does when entering or exiting areas where there is no reception at all.
Q: Why don't I just turn off my phone?
A: Some phones may still be active even though they appear to be turned off. Even though the phone seems to be off it may still be able to remember or report your location. Slipping your phone in a Silent Pocket® creates an electromagnetic barrier between the phone and the cellular network. You're simply off the grid.
Q: When I remove my phone what do I see?
A: When your phone regains service from "dormant mode" it will receive all missed data including emails, voicemails, texts, notifications, etc.

Q: When I put my phone inside will it search for signal and drain my battery?
A: Your telephone will switch to dormant mode once it attempts to find signal for a short amount of time. In fact leaving your device inside for extended periods of time (ie. over night) conserves battery significantly.
Q: When someone calls my phone while I'm using a Silent Pocket® what happens?
A: Your phone rings through normally for the caller and takes them to voicemail. Once you remove your phone you will receive any voicemail's left, but will not see missed calls.
Q: Will my phone's alarm still work?
A: Yes, your phone’s alarm will not be silenced and you'll still be able to use the functions of set reminders on the internal time clock.
