I carry my smart phone in my shirt breast pocket when touring sites. I have had it slip out when I bend over to tighten my walking shoes. I decided that there must be something on the market that would allow me to connect my phone to a lanyard that I wear around my neck. My old digital camera came with a built in lanyard that I used all the time when walking to take photos. I now use my smart phone to take photos when walking. But, always worry about dropping the phone over a cliff, into a lake, etc. My brother lost his smart phone when he was on a cruise. It slipped out of his hands when taking photos from the cruise ships railing, and the phone went into the sea. The Silent Pocket Phone Lasso was inexpensive, the connection loop attaches to the back of the phone, Then the lanyard or wrist strap connects to the loop. Any lanyard with a clip will work. I have a shock preventive case on my phone, so the loop cannot disconnect from the phone. I can still carry the phone in my shirt breast pocket, pull it out to take photos and then put it back in my pocket. I do not have to worry about dropping the phone while taking photos.
