What is a Faraday Bag?

So You're Interested in Faraday Protection but not quite sure what it is?

The Faraday Cage, invented by Michael Faraday in the 19th Century, shields the contents from static electric fields. In layman's terms, this will block signals to and from any RFID/NFC, GPS, Wireless, WiFi, and Bluetooth signals. The faraday cage present in the faraday sleeves and faraday bags works by distributing the signals around cage so it does not penetrate.

A more budget version of this would be to wrap your phone or your car key fob in aluminum foil, but you might get some weird looks wrapping and unwrapping your phone in foil every day. Another example is an airplane and its aluminum hull, when an airplane is struck by lightning while flying, the hull acts as a faraday cage and disperses the electricity around the hull, effectively negating the charge.

What Silent Pocket does is to use this faraday cage in our patented faraday sleeves and faraday bags. This protected is part of the interior material and then sealed with a magnetic closure. Our Faraday Bags and Sleeves are the premier option to protect your phone, tablet, laptop, credit and debit cards, keyfobs and more. All in a nondescript leather or waterproof nylon, a beautiful way to secure yourself in style.
